We want change.
We - you and I.
We - the consumer.
We want something other than rows and rows of the same product in different packaging with similar yet slightly different colors.
We want truth not lies. We want life not cancer. Because health truly is wealth.
I want to give the "middle finger" to greenwashing, to plastic, to being forced to choose how corporations want me to choose -- because it's more cost-effective for them.
Come with me on a journey to that change.
Something good, something new. For things not polluting our bodies and our planet.
'Swap to Simple' explores the slow transition I've made over the years to simple products with simple ingredients by simple businesses. With a simple message -- we care.
Small businesses don't have to answer to shareholders, boards, or CEOs with multi-million dollar paychecks. Their livelihood is on the line, without the safety net of a gritty PR firm to get them off the hook for any mishaps.
Making the switch to products not purchased in mass market stores has been so rewarding! I never considered products that nourished my outside could also nourish my inside. But they really do.
Some swaps I'll be exploring in the coming weeks...
Razors/shaving, toothpaste/mouthwash, napkins, soap (for the most part) skincare and personal care products, travel essentials.
For the household - laundry detergent and cleaning products (for the most part I just use Castile soap, baking soda, hydrogen peroxide/vinegar ). I’m sure there are other items not coming to mind. I’ll think of them later.
This is the change we need.
We - you and I.
We - the consumer.
We - because we are all human, organic, and natural beings.
